Hi ,
I LOVE Gary Vee! đ

Not in a sexual way, I mean, heâs not ugly, heâs a nice-looking dude, but I love him for his message. I find myself agreeing with him on almost everything he says;
âGo after it.â
âStay humble.â
âEmpathy first.â
âEverything is your fault.â
âPassion is more important than skill.â
âYouâre not lost, youâre early in the process.â
âBe a good person and good things will happen.â
But there's one big thing I disagree with him about, itâs actually an entire book he wrote, which goes by the title: âCrush It! Why now is the time to cash on your passionâ

When someone approaches Gary and asks: âWhat business should I start?â
Gary will say: âWhat do you like doing? Do more of that and make money that way.â
Do you like drawing? Be a painter
Do you enjoy playing video games? Be a gamer
Do you enjoy yoga? Be a yoga instructor
Gary Veeâs suggestion is to âbecome an influencerâ in any of the hobbies you enjoy doing.
As a kid, I loved doing magic tricks to people. I couldnât get enough. It started by doing tricks for my family and friends but was quickly something I loved doing in front of strangers on the street.
Whatâs the next logical step? To become a professional paid magician.
When I started doing magic professionally, I lost something.
I didnât enjoy it as much as before. I also felt like I should only perform âstrongâ magic instead of constantly trying new tricks or things I might enjoy doing more, but maybe not everyone will like.
I believe this is true for anything when you turn a hobby into a profession - You need to serve the masses, so you compromise.
Hereâs what I found - Hobbies are important and many times should just stay that way - Hobbies.
As entrepreneurs, we tend to think everything we do can have a payoff on the other side of it. While thatâs true, it doesnât mean you should always go that route.
Letâs say you capitalize on your hobbies and turn all of them into money. You grow your business and finally reach the point where you can sell it for life-changing money - And you do.
What then? You have all of this free time to do whatever you want, and then what?
Iâve seen this many times with Amazon sellers after they sold their business - After a few weeks they launched another brand. Why? They donât even know why. I believe the main reason is that theyâve neglected everything else. All of their hobbies got pushed aside in order for them to build their empire. Now that theyâve sold their business, they donât have anything else going on. The only thing they feel theyâre âgood atâ is business, so they start another one.
Itâs important that you have something you have a passion for and that you can do in your free time. The more free time you have, the more you can do that thing. That thing canât have an agenda of getting paid behind it. Itâs about having fun and rewarding yourself with something you enjoy.
If youâve read this far and your goal is to exit your Amazon business for $5M or more in the next 1-3 years, I can help. Email back with the word âEXITâ and one of my team members will reach out with details.
